It was known as a store and a storehouse of John Owens, Destroyed by fire and later deeded to Nelson Beach in 1871, used also as a place for the weary canal boat traveler to rest becoming later known as the Beach's Bridge Hotel owned and operated by John and Mary Dence in 1903. Then conveyed to Ellis and Mary Henry until his death in 1929. Passed along to James Barret, with many a tale of "drinking during the era of prohibition with the river serving as the "cooler" and a place to hide it from the "revenuers". In the late 30's early forties Jerry Carncross and his wife operated it as a relaxing place for great spaghetti and meatballs and of course libations.

In the 50's it became known as GENE'S GRILL owned and operated be the Marks family. Shortly after being purchased be Alex Pleskach and his wife, and an another name change to TINKER TAVERN. After operating for another decade... or so ... in 1977 Clair and Margo Schantz took the helm and bringing back an old name to the establishment for the next two decades as BEACH'S LANDING. In may of 1998 Paul Virkler, (a former employee of the Schantz's) purchased the establishment only to change the name again to something we all could "remember" ..... MEMORIES.....Operated for the next 6 years by Steven Fuller...in the summer of 2004 Steve purchased the restaurant from long time friend Paul. Keeping the name MEMORIES, Steve is embarking on a new era, with memories of past and ones a new.

Steve and his staff welcomes you for a time to remember with good food, drink and coversation that will create lasting memories for all.

Thanks.....Steve Fuller and the entire staff
